Dark Tides by M. Q. Rush ~ An ARC Book Review

Dark Tides a complete collection by M.Q. Rush is a series of novellas. Each one is nine chapters long. Perfect if you want a quick read. I absolutely love these kinds of books to fill in the spaces of my reading where I just don't have time to settle into reading my main feature book, yes -- I am one of those that always has two books on the go.

What I liked most about these mini tales of out right spice is there was definitely good character development. You connect with the main female character. There is more then enough description to draw you in and finish the read. That said the environment and world building is just enough too, that you again have a connection to the story. You can visualize what is going on.

On the spice side of things, is it the spiciest stories I have read? No. A few of these novellas, I would have liked to see the spice level go up a notch. However, it is written well and in an appealing manner to read. The spice also has enough fluidity to it that it is believable and highly readable, which is nice.

I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a series of short reads that are short and sweet and to the spice.
